🌱 From biology to UX: a journey of lifelong learning

Throughout my biology career, I worked with diverse teams to take products all the way from proof-of-concept to commercialization. I always wanted to develop innovative products that would ultimately improve the health and livelihoods of others. However, as much as I enjoyed playing “mad scientist” in the lab, I knew I wanted a career where I could bring my creativity to the forefront and make a more direct impact to the users these products were built to reach.

Thus, I traded in my lab coat and chose to pursue UX design, recognizing that my true passion lies in creating meaningful, future-oriented experiences and interfaces anyone can enjoy. I love being able to design from a place of curiosity, empathy, and most importantly: inclusivity. Moreover, finding new ways to approach and solve real problems that help bridge the gap between people and technology is a challenge I continue to find joy in doing!

When I’m not working, you can find me hiking, traveling (my most recent adventure was a solo trek through New Zealand), or indulging in my love for food, sweets (I’m a regular at Salt & Straw), coffee, and live music!

I’m open to chatting about all things UX/UI design and research related and am actively looking for new opportunities to expand my work and skillset. Don’t hesitate to say hello!
